The Ombudsman and his team handle difficulties of insurance customers impartially, quickly and unbureaucratically. Our services are free. In our complaint responses we try to avoid unnecessary jargon. Complainants may contact our head office in Zurich, or our branch offices in Neuchâtel and Lugano.
Since 2010, the Ombudsman for Private Insurance and Suva has been Martin Lorenzon, Attorney-at-Law. He has the right and the duty to manage the affairs of the Ombudsman Office independently and is not subject to any instructions.

Our annual report provides a review of the complaints we received and resolved. You can download the full annual report in German and French.
It shares insights into trends in complaints and reflects the fields of private insurance (VVG/LCA), accident insurance (UVG/LAA) and occupational benefits (BVG/LPP). Apart from showing the number of cases we handle, the annual report also takes a closer look at the complaints referred to us in the three language regions.
